Rainbow In Your Hand
A few years ago I was lucky enough to take a trip to California with my ex (then current) boyfriend, my little brother and his friend. We drove down through Vallejo and went to Six Flags, stayed over night in San Francisco (and toured around the bay area), visited Disneyland in Anaheim for a few days and went down to the San Diego Wild Animal Park (now called San Diego Zoo Safari) located in Escondido.
At that time they had a lovely tropical topiary area housing butterflies, exotic plants and these cute gentlemen. They are called Lorikeets. In this enclosure they provided you with nectar for feeding them and they would come and sit on your arms. They are amazing and hilariously greedy. They’d try to pull the little cups out of your hands so they could drink it all on their own. Unfortunately in the process this would cause the nectar to spill.
